Crab Orchard Cuisine, a fundraising effort to support the operating budget of Historic Crab Orchard Museum & Pioneer Park,
began in 2013 as a series of dinners or parties in private homes and locales hosted by gracious donors.
Over the years this fun and fabulous event evolved to feature Casino Night in 2016 and 2017.
Though the next Crab Orchard Cuisine was initially scheduled for March 2018, the museum flood forced us to cancel.
With many thanks for the generous support of those who would have attended last year’s event, we’re back and better than ever in 2019.
Crab Orchard Cuisine & Casino Night supports the operations and education programs of Historic Crab Orchard Museum.
On Saturday, May 11, 2019, attendees and sponsors will enjoy high roller games designed for fun rather than gambling - we only use play money!
The evening’s games conclude with silent and live auctions to benefit the museum’s mission to preserve and promote Appalachian cultural heritage.
In keeping with the historic Bluefield Arts Center, our theme this year will be the 1920s, with Prohibition-era speakeasy decor, and attendees are encouraged to dress in period or cocktail attire. Live music will be provided by the SWCC Jazz Ensemble and photo booth with 1920s accessories will provide a fun souvenir!
The event will include a delicious showcase of our area restaurants’ best fare that supports the museum’s “Flavors of the Past” exhibition by taking a creative approach to Appalachian cuisine. Two adult beverages are included with your ticket purchase, and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $85 each or 2 for $150, and are available for purchase at the museum
or online by clicking the button below.
