Mark your calendars for the Museum’s oldest annual event in celebration of our nation’s independence. This fun-filled, family-oriented event includes live music performances, old fashioned kids’ games, a kids’ craft trail, a colonial reenactment, costumed demonstrations in the Pioneer Park, and great food vendors. This annual summer celebration is not to be missed!

Kids’ Games may include: a watermelon seed spitting contest, sack race, three-legged race, corncob darts, bubblegum-blowing contest, back-to-back race, ice cream eating contest, & more.
Kids’ Craft Trail (make-and-take crafts) include pinwheels, tin punch stars, cartridge rolling, popsicle stick harmonicas, & face painting.
Costumed Demonstrations may include: blacksmithing, woodworking, woodcarving, weaving, quilting, archery, lucet & finger weaving, spinning, brick oven baking, chair caning, & more.
